A deer wearing what appeared to be a clothesline around its neck was gone when Flathead County Sheriff’s deputies arrived at the Eagle Bend Drive residence Thursday evening.

Around 10:30 p.m., a woman called deputies after her brother was involved in a fight at a bar on Montana 35. Investigating, deputies learned the woman’s brother had apparently provoked his attacker, who punched him, then left.

Deputies were unable to locate the people seen lobbing eggs from a gray jeep covered in mud along East Evergreen Drive Thursday afternoon.

A shopper at an army surplus store on U.S. 2 East apparently laced up hiking boots, then walked out the door around 4:30 p.m. Thursday.

Around 7 p.m. Thursday, a suspicious box was reported along U.S. 93 near a church. Upon investigation, deputies learned the box was empty, cardboard, and not suspicious.

Two boys throwing rocks and snowballs in Martin City were gone when deputies arrived.

A Hungry Horse resident called deputies around 8:30 p.m. Thursday, complaining about a neighbor’s loud party.

An escaped black yearling heifer wandering near a golf course on U.S. 93 North Thursday night was located and returned to its owner.

Residents who live behind a Coram bar complained to deputies about the establishment’s loud noise around 1 a.m. Friday.

Two harassing letters sent to a Tamarack Woods Drive residence were determined to be a civil matter.

Deputies received 145 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Thursday and 3:30 p.m. Friday.

A white minivan was stolen around 3:30 a.m. Friday while its owner ran inside a senior living facility on Buffalo Hill Terrace to make a delivery. The minivan had been left, running, in the parking lot. It was later located at a Crestline Avenue senior living facility, with a woman inside who apparently had been drinking. Kalispell Police arrested her for stealing the vehicle, which was a felony.

An unknown man in his 30s knocked on the Common’s Way door of an elderly man and said he wanted to check the home’s air. The suspicious man apparently didn’t give a name, didn’t have a business card and left in an unmarked white car after he was denied entry around 8:40 p.m. Thursday.

A man and his dog returned to a vacant Second Avenue East residence Friday morning. He apparently had been asked to leave about a month ago. He was cited for criminal trespass.

A loose black lab on the playground of a school on Second Street West reportedly knocked a student down around 12:38 p.m. Friday. The dog was picked up before police arrived.

Officers received 83 calls for service between 2:30 p.m. Thursday and 2:30 p.m. Friday.

Whitefish Police received 22 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Thursday and 3:30 p.m. Friday.

Columbia Falls Police received 28 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Thursday and 3:30 p.m. Friday.

Alarms

A 54-year-old woman began to lose consciousness as a result of a medical condition as she drove along U.S. 2 East around 12:30 p.m. Friday. The vehicle pulled over near a gas station and waited for an ambulance. The woman was transported to Kalispell Regional Medical Center.

It seemed hazy inside the mechanical room of a restaurant on U.S. 93 North Friday morning. The room reportedly smelled like something electrical was burning although no flames were seen. Kalispell Fire investigated.

A 57-year-old man who passed out at a medical establishment on Burns Way Friday morning was transported to Kalispell Regional Medical Center.

Following a two-vehicle collision along U.S. 93 North Thursday afternoon, one was transported to Kalispell Regional Medical Center complaining of head and neck pain.
