Anaconda ends season for Columbia Falls girls at state

HAMILTON — Lisa Laslovich scored a game-high 27 points and Chelsea Galle added 14 more to help Anaconda topple Columbia Falls 56-45 on Saturday morning in loser-out play at the Class A state girls basketball tournament.

Anaconda hit seven treys in the contest, four by Galle in the first half as the Copperheads took a 34-26 lead at the break.

Kelsey DeWit had 17 points and eight rebounds for Columbia Falls, while Kayla DeWit finished with 15 points and eight rebounds.

Columbia Falls (15-8) finished tournament play with a 1-2 mark.

Anaconda (19-4), the two-time defending state champions, advanced to the third place game with the victory. Havre also advanced to the consolation finale with its 39-28 triumph over Butte Central in the other loser-out contest.
