A vehicle pulled into a Krause Lane yard and began spinning doughnuts Friday night. The vehicle then reportedly got stuck. The property owner went out to the car and canceled the criminal mischief complaint before Flathead County Sheriff’s deputies arrived. It is possible the issue was smoothed over with a six-pack of beer.

Authorities from Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks are working to free the fox found tangled up in something on a sandy bar in Flathead River near Foys Bend around noon Saturday.

Dropping off a baby with a man at a convenience store on U.S. 93 South as part of a custody agreement, a woman apparently spit on him and hit him. Deputies are investigating.

A welfare check was requested at a Fir Lane residence after a man was seen buying beer at a convenience store, apparently leaving his 3-year-old son at home alone on Friday night. Deputies are investigating.

Deputies received 123 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Friday and 3:30 p.m. Saturday.

During a 911 call around 5 a.m. Saturday, dispatchers heard a man yelling at another man to stop, then the line went dead. Another call came through a few minutes later, this time with the man asking the second man why he was attacking him. A car horn was heard in the background and something about a gun was said. Kalispell Police soon arrived at the Ponderosa Street from where the call came, finding a vehicle unoccupied and its horn going off. The two men were located and officers determined they were two friends who were arguing.

A 61-year-old woman was arrested for her fourth DUI Friday around 7:30 p.m. along U.S. 93.

Police found signs where vehicles had been “playing cat and mouse” near a gas station on Fourth Avenue East North, but did not locate the two vehicles seen racing and sliding sideways in the area around 10 p.m. Friday.

A person was walking down an alley near South Main Street and yelling around 9:45 a.m. Saturday. The yeller then apparently fell down and began snoring.

A man said the door guy at the fairgrounds shoved him and cussed at him around 10 a.m. Saturday. Officers are investigating.

Officers received 75 calls for service between 2:30 p.m. Friday and 2:30 p.m. Saturday.

Around 9:30 a.m. Saturday, a man threatened the owner of a hardware store on Central Avenue after the owner refused to let the man return merchandise that hadn’t been purchased there, according to Whitefish Police.

Officers received 27 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Friday and 3:30 p.m. Saturday.

Columbia Falls Police received 15 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Friday and 3:30 p.m. Saturday.
