Smoking pot 'not a criminal matter'

 Observing people smoking marijuana on the porch of a Woodland Park Drive bar, a concerned citizen called Kalispell Police around 1 a.m. Wednesday. Investigating officers determined it wasn’t a criminal matter.

Following a disturbance on South Meadows drive around 2:20 a.m. Wednesday, a woman was arrested for partner or family member assault and obstructing justice.

The man reportedly making threats as another man repossessed his vehicle was counseled Wednesday morning.

A man in a blue truck apparently approached a person along Fourth Street Tuesday afternoon and made suggestive comments.

A couple was seen walking dogs around the fairgrounds and kids were running around the horse barns around 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.

A panhandler, who appeared to have been drinking, was reportedly harassing customers outside a Kalispell shopping center Tuesday night. The skinny man wearing a dark blue jacket was also checking out the bikes parked in a nearby rack.

A 31-year-old man was arrested for disorderly conduct and a warrant after he was apparently yelling profanities and using abusive language at a Fourth Avenue West residence around 9 p.m. Tuesday.

A man alleges he was beaten up by employees at a bar around 2:45 a.m. Wednesday. Officers are investigating.

Officers received 82 calls for service between 2:30 p.m. Tuesday and 2:30 p.m. Wednesday.

The dog stuck in a culvert near Hodge Creek Drive was freed by Flathead County Sheriff’s deputies Tuesday evening and is OK. It is unknown how long the animal was trapped.

The customer at a Coram gas station paid $3 for gas, but pumped $4.80 worth.

Deputies counseled the parents of two young children located in the parking lot of a Lakeside bar around 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.

A barbecue grill was taken from the back porch of the Flathead Lake Lodge sometime Tuesday.

A chocolate lab was chasing a jogger along Jellison Road Tuesday afternoon.

A Swan River Road resident returned home around 7:30 p.m. Tuesday and saw a rock had been thrown through a window.

Deputies received 135 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Tuesday and 3:30 p.m. Wednesday.

An unknown man has been sitting in a vehicle in the parking lot watching a coffee kiosk on U.S. 93 South. Whitefish Police were unable to locate him.

Officers received 27 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Tuesday and 3:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Columbia Falls Police received 11 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Tuesday and 3:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Alarms

After a tree fell on his leg, a 67-year-old man was transported with a broken leg to Kalispell Regional Medical Center around 12:23 p.m. Wednesday.

An unresponsive man was found in the driver’s seat of a vehicle parked outside a Coram bar around 6:20 p.m. Tuesday. He reportedly had a slow pulse and was drooling. He was taken by ALERT to Kalispell Regional Medical Center.

Seeing a white wire poking out of the wall, a Caroline Road resident reportedly pushed it back in. But then, she heard a pop and saw flames shoot out of the wall. South Kalispell Fire and Flathead Electric responded.

Whitefish Ambulance transported someone to the hospital with a possible head injury after a one-vehicle accident along Montana 40 around 4 a.m. Wednesday.
