Seniors shine in Billings

BILLINGS — The Flathead Valley put up some big points at the Crowne Plaza Senior Classic on Thursday.
Fresh off an All-State basketball nod, Glacier senior Shay Smithwick-Hann scored 30 points and led the AA West team to a 100-87 victory against the B South squad.
Smithwick-Hann, who earned All-State on Wednesday, had the third highest scoring mark out of the eight games. Jordan Overstreet of Three Forks scored 37 in the same game and Morgan Young had 32 for C East.
Columbia Falls’ Kelsey DeWit tied the girls’ scoring high for the day with 31 points as the A Northwest girls tops C South 70-67.
Columbia Falls senior Mitchell Wassam scored a team-high 18 points, Whitefish senior Connor Silliker followed with 15 and the A North team scorched C West 92-69. Michael Williams of Columbia Falls scored 14.
