Woman leaps from rolling truck

Jumping from a moving truck, a woman broke her leg Friday afternoon. After her old Ford pickup lost power at the top of Sheep Herder Hill and began to roll backward, the 27-year-old woman became afraid and bailed. The truck ran off the road, took out part of a fence and came to a stop after hitting a tree. It sustained no damage, according to the Montana Highway Patrol. The woman was transported to Kalispell Regional Medical Center.

Convenience store employees became worried Thursday night after a man, who appeared intoxicated, spent quite a while in a bathroom. After the man finally emerged, he left behind a bottle of prescription medication. The man was located later at a nearby bar on Woodland Park Drive and his medication was returned to him.

Flathead County Sheriff’s deputies were unable to locate the drunk, 300 pound man who reportedly attacked a woman at a Shadow Lane residence around 9:48 p.m. Thursday.

Finding pornographic images of a suspicious nature on a computer at a Wildebeest Lane residence, a woman spoke with deputies.
