Man shows poor decorating taste

Flathead County Sheriff’s deputies advised a man Sunday not to return to a hotel in Hungry Horse that evicted him after he reportedly had been spray painting the walls of a room.

A boy, 13, was caught shoplifting from a store in Evergreen. He was cited and his parents were notified.

There was a report of an officer being threatened at the Flathead County Jail.

There was a report of a woman being out of control at an Antler Bluff residence, after a man and daughter locked her out of the house. She was calmed down after deputies arrived.

Early Monday, someone reported hearing shots fired near the 1000 block of U.S. 2 in Evergreen. It turned out to be a Montana Highway Patrol trooper who was putting down an injured deer.

A man reported that his driver’s license and license plates were stolen from his vehicle in the Bigfork area.

There was a report of money being stolen from a residence in the 300 block of Seventh Street West in Whitefish.

There was a report of a dispute over loud music between neighbors on Solberg Drive in Evergreen. The reporting party said his neighbor had been playing loud music, so her husband played music even louder, prompting threats from the neighbor.

There were 160 log entries between 3:30 p.m. Sunday and 3:30 p.m. Monday.

Kalispell Police arrested a man, 23, for shoplifting and a warrant from another jurisdiction after he was caught stealing at a grocery store on Third Avenue Sunday night.

A boy, 14, was cited for shoplifting from a grocery store on U.S. 93 South.

Monday, there was a report  of a window being broken at a business on the 500 block of Main Street. It was unclear if anything was taken.

A woman reported that someone has been idling a pickup truck “excessively” on Empire Loop, and she believes the exhaust has been making her ill. She was advised it is not a criminal matter.

There was a report of a woman repeatedly biting staff members at an assisted-living facility on Liberty Street. The woman was told that she could be charged with assault if she continues biting people.

There was a report of a window being broken out of a house that has been vacant on the 900 block of Third Avenue West.
