Seeing a school bus parked in the lot of a bar on Montana 35 around 11:14 a.m. Thursday, an observer called Flathead County Sheriff’s deputies, worried the driver might be drinking. The driver was drinking in the casino area, but it was a Pepsi. 

Heading westbound on Reserve Drive, a black truck was seen chasing a white vehicle and throwing things at it Wednesday afternoon.

An empty safe with a hole cut in the back was located along Steel Bridge Road around 4:34 p.m. Wednesday.

A dead dog was found on Cedar Flats Road Wednesday afternoon.

Hearing a call as she walked along a Bigfork nature trail, a woman turned to see a man sprawled on a rock and exposing himself Wednesday evening.

After spinning brodies in a parking lot near an inn on U.S. 2 West around 5 a.m. Thursday, an unknown vehicle took off at a high rate of speed, according to an observer. Tire tracks were the only clues left to Kalispell Police. However, the vehicle with a loose fender was later seen speeding and tailgating along Three Mile Drive. Police were unable to locate the car at the time, but suspected it might be the same vehicle found abandoned on a hill near a park on Woodland Park Way around 8 a.m. That vehicle, a Honda Civic, was stolen sometime during the night. Car and owner were reunited.

Driving near the Fourth Avenue East and Idaho Street intersection, a woman said her car was almost hit by a minivan that made a U-turn. The minivan stopped near the light, at which point the driver jumped out and began having words with the driver of another minivan. Officers caught up with the two men later and counseled them.

At a Third Avenue East North grocery Wednesday afternoon, a 20-year-old man was arrested for theft and being a minor in possession of alcohol or an intoxicant.

A suspicious man was yelling at a dog that was leashed in a Fourth Avenue West yard. When the dog’s owner confronted him, the man reportedly started threatening her, then left.

The man playing loud guitar music in a park on Woodland Park Drive Wednesday evening was asked to leave.

After receiving a few complaints from separate incidences involving an intoxicated man, officers arrested the 22-year-old for disorderly conduct and criminal trespass to property around 11:13 p.m. Wednesday.

Officers received 77 calls for service between 2:30 p.m. Wednesday and 2:30 p.m. Thursday.

Whitefish Police received 25 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Wednesday and 3:30 p.m. Thursday.

Columbia Falls Police received 31 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Wednesday and 3:30 p.m. Thursday.
