Turquoise truck runs into house

A turquoise truck veered off the road and struck a house on Sunburst Court around 7 p.m. Friday. The driver was transported to Kalispell Regional Medical Center with a possible back injury. Kalispell Police cited him for careless driving and are investigating whether alcohol was a factor. The house and truck sustained minor damage.

A light gray vehicle was seen driving slowly along Austin Street Friday night, apparently making contact with children.

A 15-year-old was reported missing after he didn’t show up at his aunt’s house after school Friday. He was last seen at a Kalispell mall around 5:40 p.m. wearing jeans and a backpack.

Eight kids on bikes egged a car parked near a motel on East Idaho Street around 10:11 p.m. Friday. They were gone when police arrived.

Although a Fourth Avenue West resident is out of town, kids have apparently been sneaking into the house to party.

The group playing a loud game of basketball at a church on South Main Street around 2:14 a.m. Saturday were asked to move along.

Suspecting a white car of speeding, an officer followed it through a residential area, but lost sight of it around 2:30 a.m. Saturday. The vehicle was later found, abandoned, in the parking lot of a market on Second Avenue West. Officers learned the car had been stolen and it was returned to its owner late Saturday morning.

Officers received 79 calls for service between 2:30 p.m. Friday and 2:30 p.m. Saturday.

Flathead County Sheriff’s deputies are investigating the theft of a deposit bag containing $1,400 from a restaurant on Hungry Horse Boulevard, reported around 11:09 a.m. Saturday.

Three possibly intoxicated juveniles were seen jumping on a storage unit roof at a facility on Fourth Street West North around 4:37 p.m. Friday.

Owners were counseled after a neighbor’s dog entered a Parliament Drive yard and tried to fight another dog Friday afternoon.

Deputies were unable to locate the semi driving along U.S. 93 from which boxes were falling Friday afternoon.

Deputies are investigating a report of what appears to be child pornography at a Monte Vista Drive residence.

A woman has been receiving unwanted texts, some of which are angry, from her ex-boyfriend.

The man seen trying to stop cars and flipping people off along Trumble Creek Road Saturday morning was given a ride elsewhere.

A woman hit her Conrad drive neighbor in order to protect her daughter, she told deputies around noon Saturday. Deputies are investigating.

A vehicle parked along U.S. 2 Saturday afternoon was hit by a blue paintball. There are no suspects.

Deputies received 181 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Friday and 3:30 p.m. Saturday.

A gunshot was heard near a West Second Street residence 3:24 a.m. Saturday. Whitefish Police are investigating.

Four or five boys were seen trying to break into a Lupfer Avenue apartment around 7 p.m. Friday.

Officers responded to a report of two men fighting outside a Central Avenue bar around 11:30 p.m. Friday.

Outside another Central Avenue bar, two men were fighting around 1:19 a.m. Saturday, but left before officers arrived.

An intoxicated man loitering near an apartment on Central Avenue was gone when police arrived around 2:21 a.m. Saturday.

Officers received 31 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Friday and 3:30 p.m. Saturday.

Columbia Falls Police received 20 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Friday and 3:30 p.m. Saturday.

Alarms

A 14-year-old was transported to Kalispell Regional Medical Center with face and neck injuries as a result of a one-vehicle rollover near the intersection of Montana 40 and Whitefish Stage around 1:49 a.m. Saturday. The Jeep Cherokee was driving northbound along Whitefish Stage when its 19-year-old driver swerved to miss a deer and lost control. The Jeep rolled twice before coming to rest on its side in a ditch. Neither alcohol nor drugs was a factor. The three teens had been on their way home from a movie.

A vehicle drove into the front window of a gas station on Main Street around 6:48 p.m. Friday.

Saturday morning, a wrestler at Columbia Falls High School was transported to North Valley Hospital with a possible neck injury.

Somers Fire Department responded to a fire in the bedroom of an Old Highway 93 residence around 9 p.m. Friday, but cleared the scene in half an hour.
