Kalispell police got a report Sunday from a residence on the 1900 block of Greatview Drive that a pit bull was in the yard and had “torn up” a cat, but kids were safe inside the house. A responding animal warden took the dog to the shelter.

There was a report of a computer being stolen from a locked residence on the 200 block of Two Mile Drive.

An unspecified amount of money was reported stolen by a resident on the 100  block of Hilltop Avenue.

Someone reported that people threw something at her vehicle on Center and Main. While there was no damage to the vehicle, officers ended up detaining a girl and two boys and notifying their parents.

After a traffic stop on the 700 block of First Avenue East early Monday, a boy was arrested for possessing alcohol and a warrant.

There was a report of a missing stop sign at First Avenue East North and Oregon Street.

A woman reported that she had been bitten by two dogs — a boxer and a chocolate lab — near the 500 block of West Colorado Street.

There was a report of a Geo Metro being stolen sometime overnight at the 400 block of Fifth Avenue West.

A man reported that his garage and house on the 800 block of Fourth Street West had been vandalized with gang-style graffiti.

There were 51 log entries between 3:30 p.m. Sunday and 3:30 p.m. Monday.

Flathead County Sheriff’s deputies broke up a disturbance late Sunday involving four to six people who were yelling and screaming outside a residence on the 200 block of Harmony Road.

A woman reported that she had been charged by a German shepherd in the area of South Many Lakes Drive.

Someone reported a wild turkey with a broken leg and blood on its head near Hoffman Draw in the Kila area.

In a “suspicious circumstance” report from a convenience store on U.S. 2 and Reserve, a man accused another man of giving his wife a back rub.

A man reported from a Bench Drive residence that his cell phone had been stolen by another man who would not give it back. After deputies made contact, the phone was given back.

At about 4 a.m. Monday, there was a report of a mountain lion sighting on Tamarack Lane near Columbia Falls. The matter was referred to Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks.

There was a report of tires being slashed on a vehicle on Falcon Acres Loop in the Columbia Falls area for the second time in the last couple weeks. Deputies patrolled the area and found two other vehicles with slashed tires on Pheasant Drive.

A Deer Street resident in Coram reported that his neighbor keeps making obscene gestures and yelling at him when he drives by.

There was a report of wipers ripped off a mini excavator and damage to other equipment at a construction site on the 1000 block of Labrant Road.

There was a report of a water trough being stolen from a property on the 1000 block of Middle Road.

Sheriff’s dispatch had 153 log entries between 3:30 p.m. Sunday and 3:30 p.m. Monday.

Whitefish police serving a warrant arrested a man at an apartment on the 400 block of Wisconsin Avenue.

Alarms

The Bigfork Fire Department responded to a report of two golden retrievers falling through the ice into Echo Lake Monday morning. The dogs were out of the water within 15 minutes, and because their owner could not be contacted, they were taken to the animal shelter.
