Polson netters down Columbia Falls

POLSON - Polson swept play in doubles and took three of four singles matches to down Columbia Falls 6-1 on Tuesday in a Class A tennis dual.

"Matt Roberts and Christian McCurdy had really, really nice wins at No. 1 and 2 singles," said Polson coach Bob Hislop.

"We eked out a couple three setters in doubles."

Roberts won 6-0, 6-1, while McCurdy prevailed 5-7, 6-3, 6-1.

In doubles, winning the three setters were Ian Laimbeer and Will Davey at No. 2 and Sam Peel and Jacob Browne at No. 3.

Parker Johnson prevented a sweep by the Pirates with his victory at No. 3 singles for Columbia Falls, 6-0, 6-1.

Polson's girls host Columbia Falls and Dillon on Friday.
