Janice M. Norby, 56

Janice M. Norby, 56, died Thursday, May 6, 2010, at Kalispell Regional Medical Center. Janice was born in Billings to John and Helen (Quinn) Mulloy on Oct. 17, 1953. She was raised in Billings and attended school there, graduating from Billings High School. During her childhood, she vacationed often in the Whitefish area, which she greatly enjoyed. She resided in Flagstaff, Ariz. for 18 years, where she raised her two sons before returning to Montana in 2003, and resided in the Flathead Valley until the time of her death. Janice greatly enjoyed her family and spending time with them; she also enjoyed traveling and camping, as well as doing handcrafts, most especially sewing and quilting. In her quiet times, she also liked playing cards and word games as well. Preceding her in death were her parents; a brother, Jack; and sister, Pamela Ann. Janice is survived by her husband, Shane, of Kalispell; her sons, Ryan Schmaing of Flagstaff, Ariz., and Jared Luke of Phoenix; her aunt, Marguerite Peg Beyersdorf, of Spokane; and three grandsons. Services will be Monday at 2 p.m. at the Austin Funeral Home in Whitefish, with Pastor Dick Bishop officiating. Visitation will be Monday from 9 a.m. until service time, at the funeral home.
