Fence vandalizing catches up to man

Responding to a disturbance on Caroline Road Sunday night, Flathead County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a woman, 45, on contempt warrants and later arrested a man, 51, who was involved after he was reported for vandalizing a fence on Conrad Drive. He was arrested for disorderly conduct, criminal mischief and criminal trespass.

There was a report of an injured duck in the road on Mountain View Drive.

A window on a tractor trailer was reportedly broken at a business on the 1000 block of Montana 35.

A resident on the 3000 block of U.S. 2 West reported having problems with the neighbor’s goats.

A son called to report that his dad had beaten up his sister at a Tiger Lilly Lane residence in Marion. The father turned out to be suffering from Alzheimer’s disease.

There was a report of a car blocking Karen Road in the Columbia Falls area, and suspicious people shining flashlights in nearby cars.

Monday morning, there was a theft report at a gravel pit off U.S. 2 west of Columbia Falls.

A woman called to report that she believes she was drugged at a Martin City bar over the weekend.

There was a report of medication being stolen from a hotel room on U.S. 2 East.

There was a report of a fight between two teenage brothers at a residence on the 200 block of Parliament Drive.

A person reported finding a machete on the ground near a vehicle parked on Evergreen Drive.

A person reported seeing a fisherman at Foy’s Lake urinating in public.

There was a report of a vehicle break-in on the 1600 block of Montana 35, but it was unknown if items were taken.

There was a report of ladders falling off a moving truck on U.S. 93 south of Whitefish, forcing the reporting party who was falling to swerve into the ditch.

Sheriff’s dispatch had 162 log entries between 3:30 p.m. Sunday and 3:30 p.m. Monday.

Kalispell Police got a report of a disturbance involving an “out-of-control salesperson” at a hotel on the 300 block of North Main Sunday evening. It turned out that all the people involved were drunk and no one wanted to press charges.

A person reported that a skateboard was stolen after it was hidden in bushes outside Kalispell Center Mall.

A man called to report that three men were putting motorcycle parts in a truck at a residence on Fourth Avenue East, and he had them blocked from leaving. The men involved were advised about trespassing laws.

After having a fight with parents, a teenage girl ran away from a residence on the 400 block of Crestview Drive. She was later located and arrested for being a runaway juvenile.

A clerk at a store on South Main Street reported that kids were kicking a door, trying to break in. They were not located.

After throwing furniture around a house on the 100 block of Russell Drive, a teenage boy ran away.

Early Monday, there was a report of a back window being broken out of a vehicle on the 1000 block of Fifth Avenue West.

There was a report of vandalism to a vehicle on the 300 block of Two Mile Drive.

A man reported that he had been assaulted at a bar on Woodland Park Drive over the weekend.

There were 71 log entries between 3:30 p.m. Sunday and 3:30 p.m. Monday.

Whitefish Police got a report of a suspicious man “rolling down a hill” near a power substation in town Monday. A Flathead Electric Cooperative crew that watched, ended up helping the man to his nearby home.

There were 17 log entries between 3:30 p.m. Sunday and 3:30 p.m. Monday.

Alarms

The Columbia Falls Fire Department responded to a farming equipment fire off Brunner Road Sunday afternoon. The fire was put out in 20 minutes.

The Columbia Falls Fire Department temporarily evacuated a North Fork Road residence after there was a report of a gas leak Sunday night.
