Man arrested after crash on Reserve
Montana Highway Patrol arrested a man for driving under the influence after an accident at Whitefish Stage Road and Reserve at about 10:30 p.m. Saturday. The driver who was headed north on Whitefish Stage Road failed to yield at the blinking red light and hit the car traveling east on Reserve.
Both drivers initially left the scene but were found. No one was injured.
A motorcycle was seen driving down the bike path in West Valley. Montana Highway Patrol handled the incident.
Flathead County Sheriff’s dispatch received a report of criminal mischief after rocks were thrown through a window at the Echo Lake store.
A caller reported a fight at the Foy’s Lake beach, but deputies determined it was horse play after interviewing the suspects.
A 21-year-old man summoned help after getting his finger stuck in a tiki torch at a residence on Second Avenue East. He got his finger out without need of transport. No details were given about why his finger was in the tiki torch.
Deputies received a report of a 2004 blue Ford pickup, license No. 7C70687, stolen from Foothills Road. Owners discovered it missing early Sunday morning.
A family returned home from church on Sunday to find their Lake Blaine home had been burglarized. Two surround-sound televisions were taken.
Another family reported a burglary of their garage at their home on Montana 206. Tools were stolen, and their vehicles were spray-painted sometime Saturday night.
A man was arrested Sunday for a domestic assault at a residence on Hathaway Lane in Kalispell.
Deputies investigated criminal mischief that occurred on Ridgewood Drive. The rear window of the mobile home was shot out while occupied. No projectiles were found, so it appears a pellet gun was used.
Thieves stole a solar power inverter/transformer worth $10,000 from a seasonally occupied cabin on O’Neil Creek Road in Kalispell. The owner returned after six months away to find the equipment missing.

Kalispell Police officers investigated an assault at a convenience store on Main Street. A woman hit a man in the store and left. He did not want to press charges.
Residents on Second Street West discovered on Sunday that their vehicles had been burglarized. Items taken included a Milwaukee Sawsall worth $250, a red tool box valued at $200, two fishing poles worth $75 and a brown tackle box valued at $75. The vehicles were not locked.
A woman reported that someone threw a beer can and broke her windshield on Tree Line Road.
A customer reported a wallet missing at a casino on Airport Road.
Two fights were reported at a bar on Woodland Park Drive.
Police officers took a report from a man who said that someone at Fifth Avenue West North and Idaho stuck a gun in his back and said that his son owed him $2,000. He claimed the same thing occurred last week. A strong odor of alcohol was noted about the reporting party.
Police officers were summoned to Third Avenue and Third Street West early Sunday by a man who said that the tires had been slashed on his work truck. He and another man had left the area of the truck because they were worried that the slasher was lurking in the vicinity.
A concerned resident on Kelly Road called police officers to report that three kids had tried to enter the home.
The emergency room reported that a 9-year-old had arrived after being hit by a driver who left the scene. The car that struck the child was described as a silver SUV.
A 17-year-old girl was arrested for shoplifting at a store in a local mall.
A concerned citizen complained that a driver was spinning brodies in the intersection of Seventh Street West and Ninth Street West and nearly ended up on the lawn of a home. The vehicle was a gray sports car.
A cleaning crew called the police after hearing strange noises in a building on Third Avenue East that was supposed to be vacant. Police cleared out the cleaning crew but found no intruders.
Neighbors complained that four girls 12 to 13 years of age were chasing rabbits across their properties. Officers counseled the girls not to trespass.
A man confronted a woman who was commanding her dog to attack squirrels but became concerned and called police when she let loose with a string of profanities. Officers counseled the parties to the altercation.

Columbia Falls Police investigated the theft of a baby blue bike with a large seat and whitewall tires from an apartment on Martha Road.
