Tea, fashion show to be staged Sunday
The Flathead County Democratic Women’s Club presents its annual tea and fashion show, Fashion Goes Green Il, from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday, May 23, at the Outlaw Inn in Kalispell.
Local celebrities and business leaders including Vivienne Montague (Vivienne’s), Lucy Smith (Hockaday Museum of Art), Krystal Heil (J. Thomas Salon), Kirby Rierson (Sen. Max Baucus’ office), Tara DeNeeve (Jack and Jill Clothes for Children) and former Kalispell Mayor Pam Carbonari will step out on the runway to model fashions from The Re-finery.
The show also will feature children’s clothing from Jack and Jill.
In addition to promoting “green” fashion opportunities, the group is honoring the late Vi Carlson, a renowned costume designer and mother of County Clerk and Recorder Paula Robinson, who will model one of her mother’s creations.
Hors d’oeuvres and desserts also are included in the ticket price, and a no-host wine bar will be open.
Tickets are $15, available from club members and at The Re-finery. Proceeds from the event support Flathead Valley Democratic candidates.
