Anita Louise Hamilton, 53, of Missoula, went peacefully from her home to be with her Lord on May 22, 2010, after many years of being ill. She was born on May 16, 1957, in Bristow, Okla., and moved with her family to Kalispell in 1965. Anita was a graduate of Flathead High School in 1975 and a 1981 graduate of Montana State University, with a Bachelor of Science and Sociology degree. She spent her 25-year career with Flathead Industries in Kalispell, and retired as the habilitation services director and quality assurance coordinator in 2005. Anita and her mother Carolyn moved to Missoula in 2008 to live with her sister and brother-in-law. Anita took her first European trip with her sister Jeanne Ann and her Aunt Jeanne in 1972, and had fun touring through several countries for a month. She was an active member in her church and enjoyed being a choir director. Anita also participated, with her many church friends, in the Women of The Church of God local church group and was an active member of the Montana Women of The Church of God state group. Anita spent most of her life giving back to others in need. She joined a Christian medical missionary group and made a trip to the Ukraine, where she helped take medical supplies to a camp for special children suffering from the Chernobyl meltdown in 1986. She returned three more times to help those children, coming home very sick herself each time. In addition, she also helped bring two Ukrainian boys to Kalispell for a month, over two summers. It was a very important part of her life and one of the many contributions she made. Anita was preceded in death by her stepfather, Lawrence E. O Neil; her aunt, Velma Jeanne Barnett; and her brother, Richard Hamilton. She is survived by her mother, Carolyn L. O Neil, of Missoula; her dad, Donald Daniel, of Vacaville, Calif.; her sister and brother-in-law, Brian and Jeanne Ann Wilson; her brothers, Dale and Jennifer Daniel and their children, and Dean Daniel and son, of California. She also leaves her nephew, David Keith, and his children, Dalton and Lorelei; niece, Nicole Stewart and her children, Landen, Isaac and Adeline; niece, Jess Keith; and niece, Brianna Wilson, and her son, Jesse. She also leaves behind her dog, Oz. Anita s generosity, sense of humor and huge heart will be remembered by all who knew and loved her. We love you, Auntie! A memorial service and reception will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, May 31, at the Missoula Children s Theatre, 200 North Adams St., in Missoula. In lieu of flowers, please make any donations to Flathead Industries, P.O. Box 1916, Kalispell, MT 59903.
