More than they bargained for?

At a discount store on U.S. 93 around noon Tuesday, a woman apparently pushed a shopping cart into another woman. This sparked a dispute which ended with each woman wanting to press assault charges against the other, according to Kalispell Police.

The liquid nitrogen that appeared to be venting out the back of a truck as it headed eastbound on U.S. 2 Monday night was not a public safety issue, as the trucks are designed to vent when too much pressure builds up.

According to an elementary school principal, unknown persons have been climbing trees south of the school and stripping off the bark.

Spotting two men with open containers in Lawrence Park around 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, officers arrested one on warrants.

Officers received 70 calls for service between 2:30 p.m. Monday and 2:30 p.m. Tuesday.

The driver of the tractor heading eastbound on Foys Lake Road was flipped off by the driver of a gold minivan following closely behind. The road-rage incident was reported to Flathead County Sheriff’s deputies around 6 p.m. Monday.

A man returned to his Trap Road residence around 3:45 p.m. Monday to find everything gone. He suspects his ex-wife.

Another mailbox was smashed along Church Drive Monday evening.

A Klondyke Loop resident apparently cussed at children jumping on a trampoline around 8 p.m. Monday. Parties were counseled.

A 14-year-old was was reported to be throwing things and generally out of control at a West Cottonwood Drive residence around 9:30 p.m. Monday. Deputies counseled the parents. 

Around 1:30 a.m. Tuesday, a reportedly intoxicated woman broke the headlights on a vehicle and left a Coram School Lane residence on foot. Deputies were unable to locate her.

Blankets were stolen from an Evergreen motel Tuesday morning and the owner wants them back.

A neighbor’s dog has been killing farm animals and digging in the yard, a Blue Gate Drive resident reported around 2:30 p.m. Tuesday. Deputies are investigating.

Deputies received 167 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Monday and 3:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Sunglasses were lost along Central Avenue sometime last week according to their owner, who asked Whitefish Police around 6:30 p.m. Monday if they had been located yet.

An employee was apparently making threats to another employee at a train station around 7:45 a.m. Tuesday.

Officers received 20 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Monday and 3:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Finding skid marks across the lawn and damage to a nearby vehicle, a Fourth Avenue West resident reported the apparent hit-and-run to Columbia Falls Police around 6:30 a.m. Tuesday.

Officers received 16 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Monday and 3:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Alarms

Somers Fire Department soon extinguished the pull-behind trailer that caught fire near a Montana 82 park-and-ride around 5 p.m. Monday.

A 19-year-old with a possibly collapsed lung was flown via ALERT to Kalispell Regional Medical Center from about 16 miles inside Glacier National Park.

A 21-year-old who had apparently fallen and hit his head was found near a clinic on Conway Drive around 1:30 a.m. Tuesday. He was transported to Kalispell Regional Medical Center.

Around 1 p.m. Tuesday, a 13-year-old passed out while in class at Kalispell Middle School. The student was taken to the nurse’s office.

Bigfork Fire Department and NorthWestern Energy responded to a hit gas line near the Bear Dance condos around 2:30 p.m. Tuesday.

A pickup truck parked along East Edgewood Drive was reportedly fully engulfed after its engine caught fire Tuesday afternoon. Columbia Falls Fire Department and Montana Highway Patrol responded.
