Game officers may have suspect in griz death
The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service has launched an investigation into the killing of a grizzly bear near Troy, and it appears there is a suspect in the case.
Investigators are looking for a vehicle and person of interest that were seen in the vicinity of the Pine Creek Road near Troy. An adult grizzly bear was shot sometime between Nov. 6 and Nov. 10, several miles up a trail from the road.
The vehicle is described as an early 2000 model of a green or blue Chevrolet extended-cab pickup with a topper, or a green or blue Suburban. The vehicle had Washington license plates.
The person of interest is described as a man in his 50s, in good physical condition, with a gray beard.

Callers can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward up to $2,000 for information that leads to a conviction.
