Alert nose uncovers marijuana shipment

The Kalispell Police Department was called after someone attempted to mail a package full of marijuana at a shipping business on Hutton Ranch Road. An employee thought the package smelled odd, opened it and discovered the marijuana.

A parent reported a newspaper photographer as suspicious after he asked two girls if he could take their photograph on Northwest Lane.

A 17-year-old boy and a 16-year-old girl were arrested for shoplifting at a business on Hutton Ranch Road. Two girls were arrested for shoplifting hours later at the same business.

A wallet was reported stolen from a shopping cart at a business on Hutton Ranch Road. A purse with $260 inside was stolen from a cart at a business on U.S. 93 North.

Someone on Wolfpack Way reported a truck stolen, but later realized it was parked elsewhere.

Someone reported a credit card stolen on East Washington Street.

A 17-year-old girl reported as a runaway on Griz Lane was found in Oklahoma.

Three boys were told to stay off the roof of a building on Third Street West after someone said they were trespassing there.

A hit-and-run collision was reported near the intersection of Whitefish Stage Road and Fairway Boulevard.

A boy on Northwest Lane was taken to juvenile detention after he allegedly authored a note threatening other students.

The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office cited a man for criminal mischief after he allegedly used his vehicle to ram through a gate on Saint Andrews Road near Columbia Falls and illegally accessed the property.

An iPod Touch was reported stolen from the locker room of a school in Bigfork.

Fraudulent bank charges were reported on Sunrise Creek Drive near Columbia Falls.

A burglary was reported on Kelly Road after someone gained access to a garage through a window.

Someone reported a wallet lost after leaving it on top of their car  on Montclair Drive and driving away.

An online review of a CD was reported after a caller on Shady Lane said it included inappropriate references to young children.

A man accused  woman of throwing a rock at his truck during an argument on Gosney Crossroad near Columbia Falls.

Callers on Nicholson Drive and Haskill Basin Road both said someone was stealing gasoline from their vehicles.

A woman on U.S. 93 South near Whitefish said a neighbor’s dog attacked her three times, though it didn’t bite her.
