Fighting couple prompts cop call

Flathead County Sheriff’s deputies were unable to find a man and woman seen fighting on Second Avenue South in Hungry Horse. The man reportedly ripped off his shirt and pushed the woman to the ground. The woman then punched the man. Both of them were last seen walking away with beer cans in hand.

Reckless driving was reported on U.S. 93 South near Whitefish after a driver reported that a man in a silver Lexus passed him or her at a high rate of speed and displayed an obscene gesture.

Mailboxes were damaged on King’s Way. An officer suspected they were struck by a vehicle.

On Lake Blaine Road, a man said he sold wood to a man who has yet to pay him.

Someone on Goat Trail near Whitefish accused neighbors of littering.

Twenty-three screens were reportedly ripped from the windows of a school on Adams Street in Lakeside.

A man on North Meridian Road was seen smoking what appeared to be marijuana while he was driving.

A woman on U.S. 2 West said she was being harassed by another woman. The woman who claimed she was being harassed had pursued a relationship with the other woman’s husband.

Fraud was alleged on Stoneridge Drive, where a woman reported receiving an unsolicited package that was paid for out of her bank account.

Deputies couldn’t locate a vehicle seen traveling in the wrong lane on U.S. 93 North.

Fraudulent debit-card purchases were reported on Ponderosa Drive.

A man on Kelley Road in Columbia Falls asked a deputy if he was legally responsible for his son, whom he suspected was living in Kalispell and “up to no good.”

Neighbors on Bills Lane near Columbia Falls were told to avoid each other after a woman reported that a man yelled at her and called her obscene names.

A woman on Montana 35 said her 18-year-old son killed her cat.

Suspicious activity was reported on Foothill Road after a man came to someone’s door trying to sell meat.

Two drills and a chain saw were stolen from an unlocked home on Hoffman Draw in Kila.

On Spotted Bear Road in Martin City, a woman said she heard people outside her home discussing the possibility of stealing her vehicle. She said they hid when they heard her call 911.

The Kalispell Police Department received a report that a Chihuahua named Happy was stolen while its owner was at a business on U.S. 93 South.

Officers arrested 34-year-old man for failing to register as a sexual or violent offender and a woman for an outstanding warrant after being called to assist Child Protective Services on U.S. 93 South.

On Conrad Drive, a caller reported seeing a man in a truck chasing a group of youths and said he would protect them until law enforcement arrived.

A girl was cited for shoplifting at a business on North Main Street.

A man pulled his vehicle into the Sheriff’s Office parking lot and claimed that a woman, who was in his vehicle, hit him as they were driving on South Main Street. He later declined to press charges.

A man was warned about stalking after his vehicle was seen traveling back and forth in front of a home on Sunset Court.

Officers learned that a man had hit a dog, not a woman, after a physical disturbance was reported on First Avenue West.

Harassment was reported on North Main Street where a woman said another woman threatened to punch her in the face if she didn’t get away from her.

Footsteps were heard on the roof of a business on U.S. 93 North, but an officer saw nothing suspicious.

Someone smashed the windshield out of a vehicle parked on First Avenue East.

A mailbox carved in the shape of a duck was stolen on Garland Street.

An engagement ring was stolen along with other items from a vehicle parked at a business on Second Avenue East.
