Heelers flown to Wyoming

On Sunday morning, the heeler orphans Fred, Ethel, Ricky, Bandit and Zorro flew to Wyoming on a charter airplane from Red Eagle Aviation.

Fundraising continues to pay the high cost of transporting them to the rescue facility to avoid euthanizing the dogs who found no homes during an extensive stay at Flathead County Animal Shelter.

The dogs came to the shelter from an abusive situation where they became feral.

Volunteers Bruce and Joni Aronson worked with the dogs as well as on finding their new home. Many people have made donations but the full amount has not yet been raised.

People interested in helping pay for their crates and air transport may do so through the website www.flatheadshelterfriends.org and earmark the donation for the heelers project.
