Man accidentally shot by friend

Flathead County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded after a 21-year-old man on Caroline Road in Evergreen was shot in the leg Wednesday night. They learned that the man’s 17-year-old friend had accidentally shot him while attempting to dislodge a bullet from the chamber of a 9 mm handgun.

Kalispell Regional Medical Center reported that a 2 year old was bitten by a dog.

Three fires of unknown origin were found and extinguished on private property near Middle Road south of Columbia Falls.

An inmate at the Flathead Adult Detention Center reported that another inmate made sexual advances toward him or her.

A man on Whitefish Stage Road said his 19-year-old ex-girlfriend has been stalking him since he ended the relationship.

Two men argued near U.S. 2 East in Columbia Falls after one of the men cut down trees on the other’s property. They agreed to settle the argument in court.

A woman on Harmony Road in Evergreen reported that her 3-year-old daughter might have been molested.

The Kalispell Police Department received a report of harassment on Third Avenue West where a man said he was threatened with a hammer by a neighbor who was angry that he had been singing loudly in a shower.

A woman on U.S. 93 South reported that a 6-year-old girl was dropped off at the wrong bus stop. She had apparently made plans with a friend without notifying her parents.

On Fourth Avenue West, a caller reported that the occupants of a black truck approached him and offered to sell him drugs.

A woman in a bar on Woodland Park Drive reported seeing a man who was wearing a jacket formerly owned by her now deceased husband.

Suspicious activity was reported near the intersection of Fifth Avenue West and West Center Street where a caller reported seeing a man carrying what appeared to be a pistol.

A woman at a home on Fifth Avenue West North said an unwanted guest who was asking her for money threatened to hit her with a toy gun when she refused.

Montana Highway Patrol troopers joined other emergency responders at a two-vehicle collision on Montana 35 north of Bigfork at about 4:41 p.m. Thursday after injuries were reported. Traffic was delayed in both directions.
