Dead, stinky deposit left in driveway

The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office took a report from a caller on Cobbler Village Road who said a woman living nearby had thrown nails and a dead skunk in his or her driveway.

Two deputies were exposed to marijuana smoke after responding to a disturbance on East Evergreen Drive, where a woman said a man was having a “manic episode” and that she was preventing him from leaving. They were actually fighting over medical marijuana, which the man was smoking when deputies arrived.

A laptop computer was reportedly stolen from the closet of a home on West Evergreen Drive.

The remnants of a small fire were found outside a church off of U.S. 93 North.

A delivery driver was bitten by a dog on Church Drive.

Men were seen fighting near Montana 35 in Evergreen, but they left before deputies arrived.

Fraud was reported at a school on Gopher Lane in Marion, where a student was writing checks using his parents’ bank account.

A woman was seen drinking from the can of an alcoholic beverage while driving on U.S. 2 East.

A man on Echo Lake Road reported that a woman he was accused of assaulting was at his home asking to “make up.” The reunion soon turned into an argument, and a deputy separated the pair.

A woman on McMannamy Draw reported that her husband, a medical marijuana cardholder, was selling marijuana illegally.

Mailboxes were reportedly damaged on Columbia Falls Stage Road and East Cottonwood Drive.

A man wearing a cowboy hat and driving a red pickup truck reportedly collided with two vehicles on First Avenue Northwest in Hungry Horse before driving away from the scene.

Someone shot a home on Creekside Court with a paintball gun.

The Kalispell Police Department received a report of theft at a medical facility on Heritage Way, where a man reported that his dog was stolen from his vehicle in the parking lot while he was inside getting medical treatment.

No one was injured after a woman’s vehicle clipped a county-owned building in a parking lot on First Avenue West.

Someone stole a guitar and a camcorder from a business on Liberty Street. One of the items was later recovered at a pawn shop.

A caller on Buffalo Square Court reported that men were selling steaks out of a van.

A teenage girl was arrested for shoplifting at a business on Hutton Ranch Road.

Event signs were reported stolen on North Main Street.

Four teenagers were seen attempting to break into a building on West Idaho Street.

An apparently intoxicated man called 911 and asked a dispatcher to connect him with a senator in Helena. He was told not to call 911 for such purposes.

A woman was cited for trespassing at a business on Hutton Ranch Road.

About eight youths were accused of acting belligerently when they were told to stop using a man’s wood to dam a creek near North Meridian Road.

An iPod was reported stolen on Glenwood Drive.

Fraud was alleged at a business on North Main Street where an employee said a shopper was using credit cards with other people’s names on them.

Officers were unable to find a vehicle after a third-hand report that a man was pulling a woman’s hair and hitting her as she drove down North Meridian Road.

A car and a truck parking along South Woodland Drive were shot with a paintball gun. Similar incidents were reported on Sixth Street West and Sixth Avenue East.

A former employee at a bar on North Main Street was accused of making threatening calls to the business’s owner.

Officers responded to a report of a physical disturbance on Treeline Road where a passing motorist reported seeing a man pulling a woman by her hair. They learned that the man and woman were friends and weren’t fighting.

A woman on Carnegie Drive reported that a neighbor was taking photos of her home and vehicle.

No injuries were reported after a motorcycle rear-ended a car at the intersection of Summit Ridge Drive and U.S. 93 North.
