Theadore R. Jeffers, 91

| April 16, 2011 2:00 AM

Theadore R. Jeffers, a man of wisdom, integrity and intense love for his family, friends and fishing, peacefully “left this earth to fly amongst the clouds and wild birds” on April 8, 2011.

Born on April 30, 1919, to Charles A. and Daisy B. James Jeffers in Loveland, Colo., Ted was brought up on a farm, surrounded by nature.

As an adult, Ted's passions were flying, fishing and hunting. Ted served in the U.S. Army Air Corps and later worked as an air traffic control tower operator.

He married Leila M. Anderson on June 13, 1941.

After retirement, Ted returned dutifully to his homestead to operate the family farm in Loveland.

He is survived by his children, Larry and wife Sandy, Judith and husband Wayne, and Jane and husband Chet. Ted was also blessed with four grandchildren, Jason, Matt, Beth and Lauren, and three great-grandchildren, Jazmin, Mia and Ella.

Ted will be remembered as nurturing guide and mentor, a good friend, a teacher of many things, a man whose integrity and character measured beyond ordinary, and one who possessed the most sparkling and genuine of smiles.

“Enjoy the fishing, Ted! We love you.”
