Engine-less car somehow stolen

The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office received a stolen vehicle report Sunday from a man who said he had been working on a truck for another person, but he could not understand what happened to it because there was no engine in it.

A man reported he was assaulted at a party over the weekend in a remote area near Hubbart Reservoir.

A person calling from Circle Drive in the Columbia Falls area Sunday reported that someone keeps leaving items on his porch, including a chainsaw, a Weed Eater, life jackets and an electric guitar. He suspects the items may have been stolen.

A woman calling from Konley Drive reported being assaulted recently.

A woman calling from Trumble Creek Road reported that a neighbor kid has been harassing her daughter even though the boy’s parents were contacted.

A man calling from Kings Loop complained that his ex-girlfriend is threatening to sell his truck just because she possesses the title, which remains in his name.

There was a report of multiple vehicles in an area off Browns Meadow Road that has been flooded by high water.

There was a report of a man lying in a ditch with a dog along East Lakeshore Drive near Whitefish. It was unclear if the man was intoxicated, but he eventually did require medical attention.

A woman who pushed her way into a house on Grandale Avenue and refused to leave, apparently over a civil dispute, ended up getting cited for assault.

A man calling from Klondyke Loop in the Somers area reported he had been assaulted by his ex-girlfriend and then was lingering unwanted around the residence. The two were separated for the night. The man called back later to say that the keys left in the ignition of his vehicle were missing.

Kalispell Police got a report Sunday of a fight involving about 10 kids on Fifth Street East near First Avenue East, but it turned out they were just horsing around.

A boy was cited for shoplifting at the mall and released to the custody of his parents.

A woman called to report that a man she didn’t know chased her kids home on Bluestone Drive. An officer later contacted the man and learned that it was a neighbor dispute.

There was an assault reported from Sunny View Lane.

Early Monday, there was a report of two men and a woman beating on the windows of a First Avenue Residence, looking for someone who was not there. They left soon after the report was made.

A bike was reported stolen from a residence on Harrison Boulevard.

A man was cited for shoplifting from a store on First Avenue East North.

Whitefish Police made an arrest after physical disturbance on Colorado Avenue at about 1:30 a.m. Monday.
