Jack Abbotts Carter, 75

Jack Abbotts Carter “went to be with the Lord” on Friday, April 15, 2011, in Azusa, Calif., after a two-year battle with cancer. He was 75.

He and his wife, Judy, and their children, Christie, Scott and Kellie, lived in Kalispell from 1978 to 1988.

Jack established the Court Club in 1979, which he later named the Kalispell Athletic Club. Recently retired from his 22-year teaching and coaching position at Azusa Pacific University, he was preceded in death by his parents, sister Mary, and first wife of 34 years, Judy, in 1992.

He married Virginia Churchill on Jan. 1, 1995, and enjoyed a combined family of seven children and 13 grandchildren.
