ATV breakdowns make men late

Flathead County Sheriff’s Office Search and Rescue crew members found a man and his son walking near Emmons Canyon Road in Kila after they were reported missing when they did not return from an ATV trip Thursday. One of the four-wheelers had become stuck and the other’s engine malfunctioned while trying to pull it out. They were given a ride home after they were found at about 6:30 p.m.

A man who reported that his van was stolen from his home on Stone Street asked a deputy to meet him at a business on U.S. 93 North after locating the vehicle in the parking lot. The stolen vehicle report was canceled when he realized his wife had taken it.

Credit-card fraud was reported on Camp Trail near Whitefish.

On Morning Glory Lane, a caller reported that a dog came into a home and growled.

A man on Autumn Court near Whitefish accused a neighbor of pumping water onto his property.

Reckless driving was reported on Montana 206 after the driver of a green Toyota Tacoma forced two vehicles into a ditch by passing in a no-passing zone.

A three-legged deer was seen near East Edgewood Drive outside Whitefish.

A 16-year-old girl was reported as a runaway by her father on Steel Bridge Road.

Extra patrols were requested on Birch Drive after a woman reported that her home was egged.

The Kalispell Police Department responded to a report of theft at a store on West Idaho Street after a man and woman attempted to leave without paying for a shopping cart full of groceries. They left in a Chevrolet Suburban that had “Just Married” written on a window.

Extra patrols were requested on Fourth Street West after three “unsavory characters” were reportedly seen wandering in the area.

A possible sexual assault was reported by a teenage girl.

An officer helped a woman on Second Avenue East unlock her vehicle after she accidentally locked a 2-year-old child inside.

Criminal mischief was reported on South Woodland Drive where a woman said an unknown person broke the front window of her house.

A physical disturbance was reported on Cedar Commons Lane after a man was seen pushing a woman. She said she didn’t want to speak with officers.

A group of people were reportedly seen fighting on Fourth Avenue East.

Harassment was alleged on Two Mile Drive, where a man said he was receiving death threats.

Officers cited several people for being minors in possession of alcohol after a noise complaint was reported at an apartment complex on Glenwood Drive.

Someone drove a truck into a light pole in the parking lot of a business on Hutton Ranch Road.

Two men were seen rifling through Dumpsters on Third Avenue East.

A Montana Highway Patrol trooper and other law enforcement officials searched for the suspect of a hit-and-run collision reported on Cottonwood Drive near the intersection of U.S. 2. The man allegedly fled on foot after the collision.
