Driver downs power pole

Kalispell Police Department, Montana Highway Patrol and other emergency responders assisted early Saturday morning after someone drove into a power pole on Whitefish Stage Road near the intersection of Riverside Drive. A portion of the road was closed at about 3:45 a.m. because electric lines were on the ground and the pole was broken completely. The driver initially left the scene but later returned. The scene was cleared after Flathead Electric Cooperative workers made repairs. No injuries were reported.

Kalispell police arrested a man for alleged criminal mischief and partner assault in a parking lot off of U.S. 93 North after he allegedly broke a door and hit his wife.

Someone threw a beer bottle through a window of a vehicle parked on Woodland Avenue.

Criminal mischief was reported on Third Avenue East, where someone painted a gold stripe and spots on a man’s truck.

An employee at a business on U.S. 93 South reported that a woman took beer off a shelf, took it to a restroom and drank it without paying.

A woman was arrested after a man on 11th Street West reported that she and another woman were assaulting him.

Theft was reported at a concession stand near Woodland Park’s soccer fields, where a caller reported that candy had been stolen.

Several vehicles were egged on Empire Loop. An RV was egged on Aurich Avenue.

An intoxicated man walking along North Meridian Road was reported as a possible traffic hazard.

A teenage boy who was allegedly aggressive and disorderly at a home on East Oregon Street was taken to juvenile detention after allegedly slamming a couch on someone’s leg.

A man reported that his girlfriend slapped him in the parking lot of a business on Hutton Ranch Road.

An employee at a bar on First Avenue West reported that a customer assaulted another patron.

Callers reported that several people were drinking alcohol and playing loud music in a vehicle on Hawthorn Avenue.
