Edward James Broad, 72

Edward James Broad, 72, passed away Sunday, April 24, 2011, at his home in Columbia Falls.

He was raised in Kalispell. Edward married Patricia Taylor in 1995 in Coeur d' Alene, Idaho.

He worked for the Columbia Falls Aluminum plant for 25 years. He was owner of Durango Gifts from 2000 until 2002. He loved raising tomatoes, picking huckleberries, hunting and fishing. He was truly an out-of-doors man.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Emma Broad and by Joshua Johnson and Camy Laws.

Edward is survived by his wife, Patricia Louise Broad; children, Mary and Ron Dickinson, Teresa Sears, Lisa and Walt Wilcox, Jim (Deanne) Broad, David Broad, Scott (Heidi) Veether, Clint (May) Holmquist, Kimberly (Jim) Ask, and Daniel House; siblings, Harold, Bob, Jean, Ella, Betty and Ruth. He has 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 27, 2011, at the Salvation Army, 110 Bountiful Drive, Kalispell.
