Growling dogs create neighborly discontent

The Flathead County Sheriff’s office got a report Sunday from a woman on Jellison Road who was threatened by a man after she complained about his dogs growling at her children. The parties were counseled by a responding deputy.

A woman calling from a car outside a home on Hidden Lane reported that her estranged husband was inside the house tearing it up. He was counseled and the parties were separated.

A BNSF railway security officer asked for help regarding an unwanted mountain man-type carrying a musket along the railroad right-of-way in the Columbia Falls area. The man was escorted off railroad property.

There was a report of a house window being smashed by a bat on Goat Trail in the Whitefish area sometime Saturday night.

A woman called from Flathead Road to report that her son had recently stolen a four-wheeler.

There was a report from West Evergreen Drive regarding someone attempting to steal a four-wheeler. The vehicle’s ignition and main console were damaged.

Someone called from Canyon Road in the Hungry Horse to report that a rock had been thrown through a bedroom window.

Early Monday, a person called to report that a pickup truck drove through his yard on Ninth Street West in Hungry Horse.

Kalispell Police got a report Sunday regarding a car being keyed while parked at a store on U.S. 93 North.

A person called from Fifth Avenue East to report that her daughter was slapped by a neighbor girl.

A fire was set in a Dumpster at Depot Park.

A woman calling from Third Avenue West reported that someone had entered her home and gone through belongings and left a bottle of booze on a counter.

A person calling from First Avenue West reported witnessing two men stealing from a vehicle.

Two men were arrested on warrants at a residence on Third Street West.

A woman called to report that her friend was beaten up by an ex-boyfriend near a hotel on U.S. 93 South.
