Suspect 'turns himself in' by accident

A Kalispell Police Department officer exhibited impeccable timing when it came to investigating a theft on Two Mile Drive Monday afternoon. The suspect in the crime arrived at a pawn shop as the officer was there investigating. The suspect was told to go to the police department for questioning.

Identity theft was reported by a man on Second Avenue West.

An apparently intoxicated woman was taken to a hospital for medical attention after she fell and hit her head on Fifth Avenue West Monday at about 8 p.m.

An officer spoke with occupants of a camper parked at a business on Hutton Ranch Road after a passerby reported hearing someone scream inside.

A bicycle was stolen from a home on Liberty Street.

Theft was alleged by a woman on U.S. 2 West who said she gave money to a man for advertising that was never provided.

A caller on 11th Street West reported seeing someone in a van drop a cat off in an alley Tuesday morning.

A juvenile male was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia on Second Avenue East North Tuesday afternoon.

The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office arrested a man after he was accused of following his girlfriend around Kalispell after an argument. He apparently became disorderly and was Tased prior to his arrest at about 2:30 a.m. following the initial report on Poplar Drive.

On Terrace Hill in Bigfork, a caller said someone threw a rock through a window at his home Monday afternoon. It was actually caused by a neighbor using a lawn mower.

A 12-year-old on Solberg Drive called to report that “everyone is bossing her around.” A deputy counseled the girl.

A 13-year-old girl reportedly slammed a door on someone’s foot and was being otherwise disorderly at a home on Pheasant Drive. She was also counseled.

A 16-year-old girl on South Many Lakes Drive was accused of throwing her mother to the ground and leaving her home at about 4 p.m. Monday. A deputy found her nearby and returned her to the home.

A caller on Electric Avenue in Bigfork accused a 20-year-old woman of assaulting a 70-year-old woman during a dispute over a dog. The woman did not want to pursue charges.

Two boys fishing in a creek on Rogers Lake Road near Kila said a woman threatened to shoot them if they didn’t leave.

Suspicious activity was investigated on Frontage Road in Columbia Falls Monday night after a caller heard a woman scream. A woman nearby said she was screaming because she was distraught over the recent death of her dog.

A ticket was issued to a resident of West Reserve Drive after a neighbor complained that people were smoking marijuana on a balcony Monday night.

Someone attempted to steal a stereo out of a vehicle parked on Sleepy Horse Lane but was unsuccessful.

A 9-year-old boy reported missing on River Road in Columbia falls Monday afternoon was found by his mother a short time later.

Gasoline was siphoned from two vehicles parked on Sleepy Hollow Road.

Fraud was reported by a resident of Conrad Point Road in Lakeside who received a call from a male claiming to be her grandson who said he needed money for bail. The apparent scam artist left a phone number that turned out to be that of a police department.

A woman on Shiloh Drive said that her ex-boyfriend was refusing to move out of her home and threatening to harm her.

On Shady Lane, a caller heard a man threaten to kill his wife during an argument.

Criminal mischief was reported on U.S. 93 South in Lakeside Monday after someone stabbed a camper door with knives.

A citation was given to the owner of three dogs seen running near U.S. 2 East Monday morning.
