Underdressed man unwelcome

Kalispell Police officers responded to a home on Fourth Street West at about 4:30 a.m. Friday after someone called 911 to report that a man wearing only underwear had attempted to open a sliding glass door at the residence. Officers located an intoxicated man fitting the description and took him to his home on Sixth Avenue West.

Officers investigated a report from a man who said he found bones in a ditch while searching for his wife’s cellphone near the intersection of Mission Street and Sunset Boulevard. An officer reported the bones were “very much an animal.”

A bicyclist suffered an injured ankle after a vehicle collided with him or her at about 2 p.m. Friday at the intersection of East Center Street and First Avenue East.

A woman on North Meridian Road was reunited with her daughter about an hour after reporting her as a runaway at about 6 p.m. Thursday.

Hypodermic needles were found lying in a driveway between Seventh Avenue West and Eighth Avenue West Thursday night.

Two tires and two rims were removed from a vehicle on Sixth Street West. The owner reported finding the vehicle’s front axle resting on chunks of wood Thursday night.

A woman on Eighth Avenue West accused a man of stealing a radio that she had pawned. She began cursing at a police officer who was attempting to investigate the matter.

A woman on Liberty Street thought her home had been burglarized after noticing several items were out of place. Nothing was missing, and there were no signs of forced entry.

On Stratford Drive, a woman called to complain about a roommate who frequently brings people home from bars.

Three youths reportedly ran away from a man who asked them what they were doing carrying a gasoline can on Liberty Street at about 11:55 p.m. Thursday.

The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office was notified when new residents of a home on East Evergreen Drive reported finding a disturbing note as they were moving in Thursday afternoon. The message was written in permanent marker and read, “I’m here to kill you.” Deputies checked the residence and determined the message was old and not likely a valid threat.

The landlord of a rental on Farm to Market Road reported that a renter put a 12-gauge shotgun in his face Thursday night. The renter apparently took issue with the landlord’s promise to shoot his dog if it chased horses being kept on the property.

A woman on Montana 35 said a man keeps sending her text messages but won’t say who he is. She said he started texting her friend as well.

A 3-year-old child was taken to North Valley Hospital after being bitten by a squirrel.

Burglary was reported at a home on Newlin Drive in Marion where a resident reported finding a damaged door Thursday morning.

Someone at Volunteer Park in Lakeside called 911 after seeing a man filming children. Deputies spoke to the man, who was filming his grandchildren.

A caller requested a welfare check after seeing a man yelling at a child as they walked on U.S. 2 East in Evergreen Thursday afternoon.

A man on Fourth Avenue East said he was attacked by his 18-year-old cousin, who was recently released from prison, at about 5:30 p.m. Thursday.

On Willow Glen Drive, a caller reported that a horse was “going crazy” and running through a neighborhood Thursday night, possibly endangering children. The owners eventually caught the horse.

A lawn mower was stolen from a home on River Road.
