Beer bottle toss goes awry for driver
Kalispell Police Department officers arrested a man at about 7 a.m. Tuesday shortly after he was seen throwing a beer bottle from his vehicle near Fifth Street East. The witness was the Kalispell police chief, who also pursued the vehicle for a short time.
Officers arrested a man for driving under the influence of alcohol after an employee at a fast-food restaurant said he nearly collided with the building on U.S. 2 West. An employee stalled the man until police arrived.
Two money orders were reported stolen by a man on Second Avenue West.
On Eighth Avenue West, a caller said that someone stole a catalytic converter off of a car.
Unauthorized use of a motor vehicle was alleged by a woman on West Northview Loop who said her teenage daughter took her vehicle to go to Foys Lake but never went there. The girl returned with the car at about 1:30 a.m.
Someone stole a snow blower from a yard on Second Avenue East North.
A parent on Ponderosa Street said a 17-year-old boy was assaulted late Monday night.
Officers were unable to locate four youths seen breaking into vehicles on Second Avenue West. Three juveniles were detained by police after a similar report on Ninth Avenue West at about 3:45 a.m. Tuesday.
Tools and a GPS unit were stolen from two vehicles at a home on Birchwood Court. Thefts from vehicles were also reported on Ninth Avenue West, Sixth Avenue West, Hutton Ranch Road and West Colorado Street.
The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office received a report after someone shot the window of a home on Kokanee Bend Drive with a BB gun Monday at 11:36 p.m.
Animal cruelty was alleged on Willow Drive at about 10 p.m. Monday after a caller accused a neighbor of shooting a small dog with a BB gun.
Trespassing was reported Monday morning at a home on Lower Lost Prairie Road in Marion where a caller said she caught her neighbors attempting to let her dogs out.
A woman on Capistrano Northwest Drive captured a dog that was chasing her goats.
Another vicious dog complaint was reported by a woman on U.S. 2 East who said one of her dogs suddenly became aggressive and attacked her other dogs.
Two men on Montana 35 in Bigfork reportedly argued with and threatened each other after one of the men threw fish in the other man’s bushes.
A woman on Willow Glen Drive accused her mother of grabbing her roughly and throwing her belongings out of a house Monday morning.
Deputies asked a man to move to a safer location after two callers reported seeing him lying on the shoulder of U.S. 93 North.
A Missoula man said that a woman on Mission Way North fraudulently obtained and cashed inheritance and insurance checks made out to him.

Three llamas were reportedly at large on property near Scenic Drive. A deputy couldn’t find the owner.
A man was asked to stay away from a business on U.S. 2 East after an employee said he was acting strangely. The caller described the man as “cuckoo for Cocoa Puffs.”
A man seen lying on the ground near Montana 35 refused medical treatment after a passerby reported that he had a black eye and was twitching.
Someone shot a home on Stillwater Loop with a paintball gun.
A young girl on Kings Way reported a burglary at about 6:30 p.m. Monday. Her grandmother later reported that the girl has an overactive imagination and that there was no burglary.
Deputies were unable to locate a man seen drinking a beer while driving Monday night on North Hilltop Road in Columbia Falls.
