A crime of fashion? Not so much

The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office received a report of suspicious activity on Tamarack Lane near Columbia Falls after a caller saw a man wearing a dress and high heels Thursday at about 9:50 a.m. The caller was informed that cross-dressing is not illegal.

A woman on Dawn Drive in Columbia Falls called police after she noticed a man she has a protection order against was following her and taking pictures of her.

Tools were stolen from a show on U.S. 2 West.

Someone burglarized a storage unit on Walsh Road near Columbia Falls.

A package delivered to a home on Riverside Road was later stolen.

Extra patrols were requested after a woman on Crestview Drive in Bigfork discovered that both her home and business had been shot with a paintball gun. A vehicle was shot with a paintball gun on Electric Avenue in Bigfork.

Two skateboards were stolen from a vehicle parked on Lake Blaine Road.

A woman at a campground on Montana 35 accused the manager of propositioning her. She was advised to get a protection order against the man.

A Jack Russell terrier was accused of biting an elderly woman at a home on Tamarack Lane near Columbia Falls Thursday afternoon.

Also on Tamarack Lane, a woman claimed that someone had stolen between $20,000 and $30,000 from her bank account.

A man on Angel Point Road in Lakeside accused his ex-wife of threatening to crash a vehicle with their child inside.

Kalispell Police officers arrested man Thursday at about 8 p.m. at the intersection of Ninth Avenue West and Fifth Street West. He was accused of hitting a dog and later shoving a woman who found the action offensive.

An employee at a fast-food restaurant on East Idaho Street called 911 after a man got out of a car with Nebraska license plates and began assaulting a man in another vehicle while in the drive-through lane at about 2 a.m. Friday.

A man was accused of damaging a hotel room on East Idaho Street.

Someone apparently accessed the attic of a city-owned building in Woodland Park.

An intoxicated man who refused to leave a business on Ninth Avenue West Thursday afternoon was taken to a hospital for a mental evaluation.

A parent on Empire Loop reported that a girl had stolen cash and run away. The girl was later located.

A woman on Empire Loop complained that a man was refusing to move out of her house.

Disorderly conduct was reported by a parent on West Wyoming Street who said a 14-year-old boy was “out of control” and threatening to destroy property Friday morning.

An officer conducted a welfare check on four young children seen riding three-wheel bicycles on Second Avenue East. The father told the officer he has 12 children and that he was inside with a baby at the time.
