Like shooting turkeys in a field

The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office got a report Sunday morning from Edgewood Drive in the Whitefish area regarding a suspicious pickup truck pulling up to a bunch of turkeys in a field, and then someone opening fire on the turkeys from the truck. The matter was referred to Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks.

There was a report from Gopher Lane in the Marion area from a woman who said her boyfriend came home drunk and attempted to choke her.

A Sunrise Road resident reported that someone poured  motor oil all over his shed.

There was a report of a garage being broken into on North Foy’s Lake Drive.

A man reported that people keep breaking into a storage area on U.S. 2 West of Columbia Falls, and everything he owns has been stolen, the latest theft occurring sometime Saturday night.

There was a report of trespassers entering a trailer in the Bear Street area of Coram. While they initially refused to leave, they eventually left.

A person reported that people involved with a rodeo on Halfmoon Road were camping on his property, being loud and at some point around midnight they fired a shotgun.

Kalispell Police got a report from a woman who said she had been assaulted by her husband at a Teal Drive residence early Sunday morning. Her husband also called, claiming that she had beat him up.

There was a report of a man being attacked by a group of people in the Seventh Avenue West and 11th Street West area. He said he did not know who they were and they all went into a house, leaving him alone.

There was a report of two chainsaws being stolen from an Ashley Drive residence sometime over the last couple days.

A woman reported that two males stole her purse out of her vehicle and that her two sons attempted to pursue the culprits but were unsuccessful.

There was a report of a home being broken into on Ninth Avenue West, with a phone and an Xbox being stolen.

There was a report of a confrontation between two men off U.S. 93 North involving one man who brandished a gun. The incident appears to have concluded peacefully.

There was a report of a laptop computer being stolen at an address on U.S. 93 North.
