<p>A wide plume of smoke rises above the Swan Mountain Range on
Wednesday from the Big Salmon Lake and Hammer Creek fires. The Big
Salmon fire went from 10 acres to 2,000 acres in a day. </p>
<p>Fire crews are working to control the Peter's Ridge fire.</p>
<p>A Sikorsky CH-54B Tarhe lands at Ferndale Airfield to be
refueled Monday afternoon. The Tarhe is capable of holding up to
2,000 gallons of water.</p>
