A 69-year-old man from Arvada, Colo., was hiking Glacier National Park’s Gunsight Pass Trail when he apparently suffered a heart attack at about 2 p.m. Tuesday.

The man was hiking with friends who administered CPR for about 30 minutes before determining he was dead.

Park rangers flew to the scene in a helicopter and transported the body to the St. Mary area. Custody of the body was transferred to the Glacier County Coroner.
