GREAT FALLS - The Glacier Wolfpack shot a 300 on Monday to lead the Great Falls Invitational golf tournament.

The Wolfpack has two members in the Top 10 - Logan Iverson is tied for third with a 71 and Ryan Porch is in a four-way tie for fifth place.

It's close among the top teams, though. Billings Senior is second at 301 and Billings West is at 302. Whitefish and Bozeman are tied for fourth at 309.

Senior's Trevin McNeil and West's Brandon McIver each shot a 70 and are tied for first place.

Flathead's Michael Lavin and Whitefish's Reed Platke are also tied for fifth while Whitefish's Arthur Doorn is tied for ninth with a 76.

"We missed our goal. We wanted to break 300 today," said Glacier coach Rob Logsdon.

"It was a long, grueling day. We teed off at 1 and we got done at 6:45 p.m. It was windy and hot today and they handled it pretty well," he said.

"And we've gotten better every round, boys and girls."

The Glacier girls are fifth after the first day with a 365.

They are led by Shelby Ballard with an 87. Hannah Davis was close behind her at 91 while Shea Stevens and Kaydee Aurich were at 93 and 94, respectively.

"The girls, they continue to be consistent. It's very exciting for them and I'm very happy for the girls," Logsdon added.

The Bozeman girls are leading the way at 330.

Whitefish's girls were 11th at 398 and Flathead shot 413 for 13th.
