Phillip A. Sieler Sr., 62
On Aug. 22, 2011, Phillip A. Sieler Sr., “went home to be with his Savior.” At the age of 10, Phil placed his faith in the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ. From that time on he knew his home was heaven.
Phil was born Nov. 18, 1948, in Carter County, Mont. He received his elementary schooling in Montana. He graduated from Flathead High School in 1967, Navy Boot Camp in 1969, received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Montana in 1974, and an associate’s degree in Biblical studies from IBC in Arizona in 1986.
Phil served on the board at Flathead Christian School in its early years. When the school lost its facility in Evergreen he brought together a group to buy the current campus. He served as principal at Yuma Christian School and as trustee at different churches he attended. He was currently on the board of his homeowners association.
He got his start in the RV business with his brothers and later managed several RV parts stores. He also spent several years working with troubled youth in different capacities.
Phil’s greatest love in life was his family. He showed us all what a godly husband and father was.
He married Lori on June 26, 1972, and remained hers always. He had many hobbies and interests and always enjoyed learning the next new thing. He loved teaching us what he’d learned. Among them were stone faceting, bow making, astronomy, and riding his 1967 Honda 450. He loved spending time with his grandkids who knew him simply as “Papa.” He was cherished and will be missed each and every day.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer Sieler and Ellena Nasset-Sieler; and brothers, Dave Sieler and Joe Sieler.
He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Lori Sieler, of Kalispell; son, Phillip Sieler Jr., and wife, Rocio; daughter, Yvonne Schultz, and husband, Todd; grandchildren, Jamie, Jeff, Treven, Tiffany, Tyler, Ellena, Phillip and Cassia; brothers, Elmer “Mic” Sieler and wife Ginger, and Allen “Chuck” Sieler and wife Linda; as well as many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 27, at Bible Baptist Church in Evergreen. Lunch will be served following the service.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Bible Baptist Missions Fund, 64 Dove Lane, Kalispell, MT 59901.
