Wolf reportedly kills dog on Blankenship Rd.

The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office received a report from a caller on Blankenship Road who said a wolf had killed a dog in the driveway of a home at about 8 a.m. Tuesday.

Deputies were called when an unruly 9-year-old boy at a school on Helena Flats Road threatened to kill staff members and smash his mother’s vehicle with a metal pipe Tuesday morning.

Suspicious activity was reported on Klondyke Loop in Somers after an apparently intoxicated man asked a woman to sign a savings bond.

On Electric Avenue in Bigfork, a woman accused a neighbor of threatening her cat.

Animal cruelty was alleged by a caller who reported seeing a man flicking cigarette ashes on a pit bull near U.S. 2 East Tuesday at about 2 p.m.

A woman on U.S. 2 East said she discovered that he granddaughter had stolen about $800 from her savings account.

Extra patrols were requested by a caller on East Evergreen Drive who said youths were throwing pears and apples at a bee nest in her yard.

Trespassing was reported at a home on Park Street where someone removed a window and took several items.

A man reported that his daughter was bitten on the waist by a vicious dog on Mountain View Drive at about 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.


Kalispell Police Department officers arrested a 22-year-old woman and a 26-year-old man for theft after they were caught shoplifting at a business on Hutton Ranch Road Tuesday afternoon.

A welfare check was requested for an extremely intoxicated man seen stumbling near traffic at the intersection of Seventh Avenue East North and East Oregon Street at about 3:19 p.m. Tuesday.

A father who found a baggy of white powder in his son’s room turned the substance over to police for testing.
