Court Appointed Special Advocates of Montana is asking people to use their artistic talents to help improve the lives of abused children.

The organization has about 475 volunteers in the state who are appointed by courts to advocate for the best interests of abused and neglected children.

People are invited to enter a CASA license plate contest.

The specialty license plate will provide additional funding for the organization’s 15 programs throughout the state, with each local program receiving 90 percent of the $25 fee for special plates sold in its jurisdiction.

The theme for the specialty plates is “I AM FOR THE CHILD,” a tag line that will be incorporated into the plate to emphasize the responsibility of each CASA volunteer.

The contest submission deadline is Jan. 13.

The specialty plates will go on sale next summer.

Requirements for the plate design and additional information are available online at casagal.org or by calling 866-863-2272.
