Theresa (Hudon) Landwehr, 94
Our beloved mother, grandma and Great-Grandma T passed away very peacefully on Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2011, at home with her daughter and granddaughters at her side.
Theresa was born May 15, 1917, to parents Joseph and Josie Hudon, growing up primarily in Somers. She attended Flathead County High School, graduating in 1935.
After finishing her education at Dillon, Theresa taught elementary school at Charlo, Columbia Falls, and for several years at St. Matthew’s School in Kalispell.
In September of 1945 came marriage to Vincent Landwehr and the birth of a daughter, Marilynn, in l947. Both Theresa and Vincent were longtime members of St. Matthew’s Parish.
Volunteering and the pride in giving back was a very important part of her life and she did so for many years at St. Matthew’s Parish and School after retiring from teaching. There were many enjoyable and fulfilling hours also spent with the RSVP in Kalispell.
July 2001 took Theresa and Vincent on a new chapter in their lives when they moved to Bonney Lake, Wash., to be with their daughter. The love for Montana never fades and the beautiful Flathead was dearly missed by both. The presence of grandchildren and three great-grandchildren was a wonderful comfort to both Theresa and Vincent.
Theresa was preceded in death by her husband, Vincent, in 2008; parents, Joseph and Josie Hudon; cousin, Roberta “Bobbi” Hersman; and sister-in-law, Lee Landwehr.
She is survived by her daughter, Marilynn Magstadt, and Ron of Bonney Lake; and three grandchildren, Chris and Sarah Magstadt of Syracuse, Utah, Julie and Andrew Neil of Puyallup, Wash., and Jolene and Steve Zehnder of Bonney Lake; and three great-granddaughters, Sara, Brooke and Chloe Zehnder, of Bonney Lake. Also surviving are her sisters-in-law, Eleanor Hedstrom and Delores Lampman, both of Kalispell; and several nieces and nephews.
Theresa will be buried in her beloved Flathead Valley in the warm days of spring.
Curnow Funeral Home of Sumner, Wash., is caring for the family.
