Kenney, Polson top Dillon in girls basketball

COLUMBIA FALLS - Polson (2-0) used a big finish to drop Dillon 49-36 on the final day of play in the Northwest/Southwest Tip-off Basketball Tournament Saturday.

Riley Kenney, for the second-straight day, led the Pirates' offense with 22 points. She tallied 21 on Friday.

Shay Parke and Charlee Hahnkamp shared scoring honors for Dillon (0-2) with nine points each.

Taylor Goligoski accounted for the bulk of Hamilton's offense. The 5-foot-7 freshman guard scored 25 points, 18 coming in the final half.

Libby (0-2) was led in scoring by Shyla Stevenson's six points.

Six different players scored in Anaconda's 28-point opening quarter and the Copperheads rolled from there to an easy victory.

Jaqueline Verlanic led Anaconda and all scorers with 13 points. Courtney Moodry added 12.

Ashlee Brewer tallied eight points for Whitefish (0-2).

Frenchtown pulled away for good with a 25-point third period and held Corvallis scoreless in the fourth to pocket an easy victory.

Frenchtown (2-0) was led by Sarah Lester's 22 points. Angel Lowry tallied 14 and Emma Oostdyk 11.

Kalyn Connors had eight points to lead Corvallis (1-1).
