Coffee shop robbery reported by employee

A man robbed a coffee shop on Center Street by spraying an employee with an unknown substance Saturday evening.

The man assaulted a Spill the Beans employee and escaped on foot with cash from the register at approximately 5:39 p.m. He was described as approximately 6 feet 2 inches tall wearing a blue coat, blue jeans, white tennis shoes and a black bandana around his face, with paint on his clothes.

Officers with the Kalispell Police Department responded and searched the area but did not immediately locate him.
