The Glacier Wolfpack lost the first four matches it wrestled on Tuesday night, but then roared to life with five straight victories and came away with a 45-24 dual victory over visiting Missoula Sentinel.

"I'm very excited that we got through this one. Sentinel has a real tough dual team and it was good to get past that one," said Glacier coach Mark Fischer.

"We really had some big wins," he said.

It was exciting all the way.

Kaleb Mitchell (130) got a last second escape to defeat Jordan Hegel, Zach Barber (135) claimed a 4-2 decision over Brandon Edwards, Jackson Barber (140) trailed 7-1 in his match before getting a reversal and pinning Sentinel's Luke Davenport and Cooper Sipe (145) was up 2-0 when he pinned Gabe LaCroix.

"This was a huge win for Zach Barber. He has wrestled this kid a number of times and always comes out a point behind."

"We were just kind of rolling from Alek through Cooper," Fischer said.

"The kids wrestled really well.

The worry after two tough weekends is that the kids would mentally leave early for Christmas break.

"But these guys were pretty focused tonight," the coach said.

"We had some kids that got to see varsity for the first time. It was good for them, a good experience for them and they did well, too," he added.

The Wolfpack is off now until Jan. 3 when it travels to Flathead to take on the Braves.
