The Grinch who stole the Nativity?

Kalispell Police received a report that the Joseph, Mary and Jesus figures were stolen from a Christmas display on Summit Ridge Drive.

It was reported that a woman ran out of a store on Hutton Ranch Road with merchandise she had not paid for before escaping in a white sport utility vehicle with another woman.

A 27-year-old man was arrested on a pending charge of driving under the influence after being reported leaving a school on Northwest Lane where he appeared intoxicated.

A pair of boys were cited and released to their parents after being apprehended attempting to shoplift from a store on First Avenue East North.

A 24-year-old man was cited and released after refusing to leave a store on Third Avenue East North.

A man in his mid-20s was reported attempting to sell DVDs to people near the back door of a business on North Main Street.

A store on U.S. 93 North was reported burglarized.

It was reported that a person used glass-etching equipment to destroy glass at an ATM on Third Street West.

A bicycle was reported stolen on Fourth Avenue West North.


The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office received two reports of shots fired on Judith Road in Kalispell coming from the area of nearby vacant houses. One person reported hearing four shots and another reported hearing between six and eight shots.

It was reported that two windows were broken at a school on Farm to Market Road in Kalispell.

A 1,600-pound winch and tie-downs were reported stolen from U.S. 2 West in Columbia Falls.

A snow plow, frame and lift were reported stolen from a vehicle on U.S. 93 South in Kalispell.

A license plate was reported stolen from a trailer on Capistrano Drive in Helena Flats. Other theft reports included tools taken from a trailer on U.S. 93 South in Kalispell and a lighter lifted on U.S. 2 East in Hungry Horse.

An employee theft was reported at a business on U.S. 93 South in Whitefish.


The Columbia Falls Police Department received a report from a Martha Road resident who said someone smashed out the window of his vehicle and stole a .40-caliber Magnum handgun which had been sitting in plain sight inside the vehicle.
