Glacier couldn't recover from a bad second quarter, falling to Lake City of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, on Thursday 63-54 in a boys nonconference basketball contest.

Glacier (3-1 overall) was held to three points in the second quarter, to trail 25-22 at the break.

"We went dead cold," Glacier coach Mark Harkins said.

"We started off real hot. They went to a zone, packed it in on us. We missed shots, got a little tight.

"Credit to them," he added.

"They were very physical. They came up with some big plays down the stretch."

Kyle Griffith tallied 20 points to lead Glacier. Ryan Edwards added 15.

Riley Moreen had 17 for Lake City (3-3). Luke Ness scored 16 and Kyle Guice 10.

Glacier led 19-14 after the first quarter and trailed 42-35 after three periods.

"The kids played hard," Harkins said.

"I can't be upset with their effort. It was there. We just didn't execute very well."
