Masked man raises suspicions

The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a strange man in a tan jacket, jeans and a hockey mask running across the road, moving with a limp, pointing and staring at a woman before walking into a Christmas tree, and then walking toward traffic and the Ferndale area.

It was reported that a house and three other buildings on Birch Grove Road in Evergreen had been ransacked while the resident was away and someone was house-sitting. The house sitter believed the suspect or suspects may have been sleeping at the home and hiding a vehicle behind a hay barn in the back.

It was reported that a boy tried to get into multiple vehicles in a parking lot on U.S. 2 East in Kalispell and was successful in gaining entry to a truck and taking an unknown item.

A woman reported her ex took their 4-year-old child out of the state to Washington in violation of their parenting plan.

A resident of Five Card Draw in Kalispell reported receiving a phone call from someone claiming to be from the Department of Health and Human Services who eventually started asking her questions about sex.
