Brawlers bloody up Martha Road

Officers with the Columbia Falls Police Department responded twice to a report of a fight on Martha Road. An initial report came from a person who said he could hear several people fighting in the street, but could not see anyone as he was in bed.

Upon arrival, officers saw a man running into the cemetery. Another officer brought thermal imaging equipment, but no further contact was reported.

Approximately an hour and a half later, it was reported that the same man from the earlier fight kicked down the door of a residence and was fighting again. That fight reportedly turned into a brawl between about six men and women in the street.

Responding officers found a lot of blood but no one involved in the fight. One man was eventually located and escorted home.

The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office received reports from residents of Willow Glen Drive and Lower Valley Road in Kalispell who heard between two and 50 gunshots in the area. Responding deputies located several people on Wild Goose Lane who were shooting off fireworks. They agreed to stop for the evening.

A resident of Montana 206 in Columbia Falls reported hearing shots fired from a high-powered rifle.

Approximately $5,000 worth of merchandise, including maps, a flat-screen television, a 3-foot stainless steel horn and an air compressor, was reported stolen from a boat near Rocky Cliff Drive in Kalispell.

It was reported that someone broke the power box of a business on U.S. 2 East in Columbia Falls and tried unsuccessfully to get inside.

It was reported that someone broke into a business on U.S. 2 East in Kalispell and trashed the inside.

A theft was reported at an auto sales lot on U.S. 2 East in Kalispell.

Medication was reported stolen from a home on Syth Lane in Kalispell.

Tools were reported stolen out of a company vehicle on Montana 35 in Evergreen.

A resident of Capistrano Drive in Kalispell reported she believed mail was stolen from her mailbox.

Kalispell Police Department received a report of a man wearing a green sleeping bag running across the street and toward Woodland Park.

It was reported that three girls around 12 or 13 years of age were begging for money and trying to take food and merchandise out of a person’s cart, running wild in the parking lot and pushing carts around on Hutton Ranch Road.

It was reported that a girl about 13 years old was talking to herself and dancing in the drive-through of a restaurant on East Idaho Street and that she had been inside for two hours at one point.

A landlord of a property on Third Avenue West North reported one of his tenants sold methamphetamine to his daughter.

A man was arrested for being a minor in possession.

A woman was arrested on a warrant for a probation violation on U.S. 2 East.

A business on Hutton Ranch Road reported receiving a counterfeit $100 bill.

The Polson Police Department received a report of burglary on 11th Avenue East.

The Lake County Sheriff’s Office received a report of suspicious activity on Montana 212.
