Polson's Owen is Coach of the Year

Polson girls golf coach Bill Owen is the Class A Montana Coaches Association Coach of the Year for 2011.

Owen led the Lady Pirates to Class A state title the weekend of Sept. 30-Oct. 1 in Hamilton.

The Pirates had four players finish in the top 15 spots individually en route to a 784 two-day total. Livingston was second with 804. Laurel shot 806 for third and Whitefish was fourth at 813.

Other coachdes voted as coaches of the year for their respective fall sports are as follows:
